This Saturday 12 September, at 10.45am, Halton Libraries is delighted to unveil the giant robots created in partnership with Gizmobots and local families.
During special workshops held at Halton Lea and Widnes Libraries, children worked together to dismantle old electrical items and reuse the components to build two impressive 6ft robots. The project gave children the chance to explore creativity, learn about reusing materials and contribute to a lasting piece of community artwork.
As part of EcoFest 2026, everyone is welcome to come along on Saturday and see the finished robots for the first time. We hope you’ll join in celebrating the imagination, hard work and enthusiasm of everyone involved in bringing these creations to life. We will also be hosting a robot-themed Saturday Stories at 11am.
