Calling all families and children aged 8+… Come and join us for this amazing opportunity to join Gizmobots & Halton Libraries, and help us build our very own library robot!
Take part in a fun, hands-on activity where you can help transform old electrical waste items, by taking them apart and using them to create a giant 6ft Robot, which we will be proudly displaying in both Widnes and Halton Lea libraries from September!
Monday 20th July- Widnes Library
Tuesday 25th August- Halton Lea Library
You can arrive any time between 10am-4pm, but we strongly encourage families to attend at 10.00am or 1pm for group briefings and tool & robot briefings!
As tools will be used during the session, all children must have a safety briefing before getting involved in the event. Please do not let your child join in until Mark has been able to demonstrate how to safely use the tools. Library staff will be at hand to support you, but we ask for parents or guardians to stay.
Themed colouring sheets and games will be available for children, in nearby areas, who are too young to take part.
*Only children aged 8+ will be able to access this event due to the equipment used*
Drinks & biscuits will be provided free of charge during this event.
