The Winter Coat Project is returning for 2026, giving local people the opportunity to support others in the community by donating pre-loved winter coats.
Organised by Halton & St Helens VCA in partnership with Care UK Charity, the project aims to help ensure that individuals and families across Halton have access to warm clothing during the colder months.
Residents are invited to donate clean, good-quality coats that they no longer need. Donations of all sizes are welcome, including children’s and adult coats.
Collection points can be found across Runcorn and Widnes, including Halton Lea Library and Widnes Library. Every donated coat has the potential to make a real difference to someone facing the challenges of winter, helping to provide warmth, comfort and support when it is needed most.
The project is accepting donations until Monday 16 November 2026. Thank you for helping to support our local community this winter.
