Join us every Monday at Halton Lea for a sensational Summer Storytime session. Designed for our independent readers, this session will allow children who attend to discuss what they are currently reading with others as well as listen to a wonderful story by master storyteller Roald Dahl. Drop in session for ages 7 – 11 years old.

Craft Boxes Art Session ,11-1pm, Runcorn Library
Book a place and come along and join us in this creative craft event; each child attending will be gifted a Giant Box of Crafts, kindly donated by Curious Mind, to use at the session – what will you create?
Got left over bits? Take them home with you to let the crafting fun continue. Booking is required for this event.  You can book your child’s place online at Eventbrite or at any Halton library. Suitable for 5 years +

Marvellous Maker Drop-in Art Session, 11-1pm, Widnes Library and Halton Lea Library
Drop in to this marvellous art session to create a piece of art based on BOOKS! Let your imagination be inspired by a great book you’ve read. What will you create? All materials supplied.  Suitable for ages 5+

We’ve got a fabulous range of games just waiting to be played. Pop along to Runcorn or Ditton library and relax over a boardgame, or two. Drop-in session. All ages welcome

Wednesday 24th July

Free packed lunches, 12-1pm, Widnes Library and Halton Lea Library
Starting Wednesday 24th July to Wednesday 28th August,  a lunch can be collected from either Widnes or Halton Lea Library between 12-1pm whilst stock lasts (approximately 50 per site, per day).

To ensure suitability of the contents, packed lunch contents are outlined below:

  • 1x individually wrapped sandwich (Ham or Cheese option, ingredients labelled on each sandwich)
  • 1 x piece of fruit (banana, apple or tangerine)
  • 1 x packet of biscuits (Mini Cookies, Cadburys Fingers, Cereal Bar or similar wrapped item)
  • 1 x packet of crisps (Pom Bears, Quavers, Skips or Wotsits, or other sealed crisps)
  • 1 x small bottle of still water.

If you require any further information or would like a packed lunch but have dietary requirements, please ring the library you wish to collect from to give notice (ideally 24 hrs) to ensure we can try to source an alternative.
