Memory Boxes & Bags

Our memory boxes and bags have been specially created to encourage conversation, stimulate memories, and support reminiscence. They are particularly beneficial for people living with dementia, but can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to explore and share memories of the past.

Each box or bag is built around a specific theme and contains a range of items designed to spark discussion and recall memories, including:

  • Local photographs and books
  • Replica items
  • Smell bottles
  • Music from the era
  • Everyday objects, such as household items and toys

These resources are available to borrow free of charge and can be used by individuals, families, community groups, care homes, and organisations across Halton.
