Space Week

A Virtual Journey Into Space with Daresbury Laboratory

Halton Libraries joined online with the wonderful people from Daresbury Labs. There was a quiz, a Stellarium star show looking at different constellations and fun with telescopes. We looked at the night sky, what we can see in the sky in Halton and examined the constellations of Orion, Big Bear and more. Missed it?  You can catch up  here .

We would love to hear your thoughts afterwards so that we can continue to provide events you want to see.  Please complete this short survey after watching the video.

To celebrate our journey into Space, Daresbury Laboratory provided some brilliant prizes for a competition.  Children were asked to send in their drawings or creations inspired by the video.  Here are the winning entries:

National Poetry Day

To celebrate National Poetry Day on 1st October we asked you to send in poems written during lock-down or poems that helped you though that time.  We received so many wonderful poems.

You can see them all on our YouTube page.
