“Nature Trail” Green Libraries themed Rhymetime, 11-11.45am, Widnes Library
To celebrate Green Libraries Week join us for this special session for children under 5.

Nature Trail: A joyful rhyming celebration of the natural wonders on our doorstep

“I love Halloween” Spooky community colouring in, 10.30-12pm, Halton Lea Library

Packed Lunches with a Spooky Booknics (a picnic with free packed lunches), 12-2pm, Widnes Library and Halton Lea Library

Free packed lunches for children at Widnes and Halton Lea libraries distributed between 12-1pm whilst stock lasts (approximately 50 lunches per site).

To ensure the suitability and safety of the items the packed lunch contents are outlined below:

  • 1x individually wrapped sandwich (Ham or Cheese (V) option) ingredients labelled on each sandwich
  • 1 x piece of fruit (banana, apple or tangerine)
  • 1 x packet of biscuits (either Mini Cookies, Party Rings, Lotus Biscoff, chocolate Brownie or similar wrapped item)
  • 1 x packet of crisps (Pom Bears, Quavers, Skips or Wotsits, or other sealed crisps)
  • 1 x small bottle of still water.

All items excluding fruit options are individually wrapped and ingredients can be provided.

If you require any further information or would like a packed lunch but have dietary requirements, please ring the library you wish to collect from to give notice (ideally 24 hrs) to ensure we can try to source an alternative.
