Community Library Service

Reminiscence

Library staff can visit community groups, organisations and care homes to deliver free reminiscence sessions.  Staff use the libraries’ extensive local history collection to share photos, books and information and themed memory boxes.  People can share their memories and stories in an informal discussion.

Groups can also come to the library for a tour of the local history resources.

Book Collections

Halton Libraries can provide a small collection of books for a care home, sheltered accommodation and other residential site.  The books are delivered and are changed every 2 months.  For more information contact Trudy Jones via email Trudy.Jones@halton.gov.uk

Outreach

Talks

IT Help
Library staff are available to help groups with IT help.  This can be themed, for example basic IT skills, job searching or ebooks.
